GCC in RH 6.0

Funny,

I don't find the gcc rpm anywhere ?
It is a part of the distro right ? 

And on a suggestion ... with so many of us now on the net .. should it not help if some of the security gurus there post a little article about linux security .. not on how to break it .. but on how to prevent someone from breaking in ... simple stuff like disabling  ccertain services ... installing stuff like cracklib, ssh etc etc..  links to site where this info is available .

There seem to be a few companies here which have started linux and they might find the info of help.
