A related example - when Alan Cox ported Linux to the Apple Macintosh 68K
platform, he got the kernel running, and then was able to run *unmodified*
binaries from the Amiga (also 68K) Linux platform.

Alan documented the process (and the pitfalls) in his article that
appeared in a recent Linux Journal issue (January 1999, "Kernel Korner:
Linux for Macintosh 68K Port" by Alan Cox). Makes excellent reading.
