Please mail the output of "xpyinfo" to the list.

The best mode to run X IMO, is 1280x1024 and > 8 bits per pixel. You need
4 MB of Video RAM to do that. With 2 MB, you can choose a lesser resolution
or fewer bits per pixel, depending on your needs.
