Oracle 8i for Linux - starter kit Rs395/- from Tata McGraw Hill is now
available, the original book is from Oracle Press.

The CD has Ora8i enterprise edition for linux. (yes I know about 9i)

The book in first glance looks quite lucid.

Also there is available on Oracle site  an MySQL to Oracle migration kit.
