Excellent. 2ps does the job exactly as promised by the developers.

Why dont you upload this to CTAN for wider consumption? Before that
you need to add copyright information, your email id to report bugs if
found, and your licence (GPL, LPPL or anything you prefer) at the top
of the package.

The procedure to upload is:

1. ftp to ftp.dante.de (anonymous login)
2. change your directory to /incoming
3. create a directory 2ps or any name you prefer
4. put all the files in the newly created directory

5. send a mail to ctan@xxxxxxxx with the following information 

    i) the package uploaded
   ii) its path in the CTAN server
  iii) a brief outline of what the package does
   iv) your licence
    v) supported or unsupported (there are separate tree for these)
   vi) the name of the installation directory, if you have any
       preference of directory in the CTAN tree

CTAN managers will install the package within 24 hours and will notify
in the relevant lists, which will be mirrored throughout the 30 odd
mirrors within 24 hours including the Indian mirror at:

  ftp://ramanujan.aero.iisc.ernet.in/tex-archive/

Shall I post your original mail in the Indian TeX Users Group list?
