I had installed Redhat 6.0/6.2 sometime back on a machine
with SIS530 and it had not detected it automatically.
Found the X specs for the card from the manufacturers website.
I can dig up the XF86Config file if that's what you're
looking for.

I have ... my system runs a SiS 630 card and I installed redhat - it's detected
out of the box.

If that's a zenith system, the sound card (another SiS) is a windows only thing
- so you need the alsa drivers.
