a 25 hour dial up account from vsnl costs 225 RS. and is valid for three
years.it is a good alternative for someone who just wants an additional
mailbox for stuff like lih.yahoo's pop3 servers are painfully slow so
that is an alternative only for the brave at heart.i'm sure there are
many people who cant subscribe to lih because their mailbox cant deal
with the sheer volume of mail (esp if they have a slow link to their
pop3 server).another solution would be to have a web interface like
egroups where one can not only read what has been posted but also post
messages oneself.
