There should be no problem in installing linux on a 20 gb hard disk provided
the primary C partition  is less  than  8 gb. The boot boundary limit is 8
gb. So if  ur first primary partition (ie. C drive) is more than that then
linux won't boot .
It is preferred that you keep your primary partition as 2-3  gb  and every
thing will be fine.
Well that did work for me .....
