Respect GPL as applied to ? Linux kernel may be GPL'ed. But MS office
and IE are not modifications to the Linux kernel. Neither is Netscape
navigator GPL'ed.

I'm not sure where the expectation that everything that runs on Linux
should be GPL'ed comes from.
