3com nic card is not detecting in kernel 2.4.6

dear all,
 I wonder Any body can help me,
 my problem goes like this
 I have a  2.4.2. kernel which was working fine with my  3Com cards
(NIC) .
Recently i upgraded the kernel to 2.4.6.
Now my NIC card modules are not working . i tried lsmod but nothing is
coming . could u tell me what could have went wrong
