two causes , that might be the reason..

one, you could wait a bit longer since it "does" take some time at that
stage.. especially if you've got a slow machine..

two, you might have a faulty hardware, and since win is not really true 32
bit (or so i understand!) it still bares through with faulty hardware(and by
that i mean especially ram).

ofcourse there could be other reasons...
