         there r many distributions of linux available for embedded system u must refer http://www.realtimelinux.org
till kernel 2.2.x linux had soft real system support
actully now entirly separate distributions of linux available

also refer to http://www.redhat.com for embedded systems on linux.

and u get some more info pls do send it to me
