nfs mount

hi,
Can nayone point me that when i am mounting a directory through nfs
mount only the directory is mounted , i am not able to see the
sub-directories inside that.

i mounted like :

/home xyz ro,no_root_squash (xyz systems name)
mount -F xyz:/home /dir/home

any help.
