help linux to windows

Hi:-)
   Well people i wanted to know that is there any s/w with help of which i can
copy data from linux to windows while i am working on my windows partion i
just want read only access to data & also if i don't know the root passwd to
linux box i cannot mount the dos partion in this situation what can i do?
