Hi,
The public IP Address are allotted from APNIC and may be provided thru your ISP etc. These Ip Addresses shall be unique. If u work with pvt IP address space then u are not supposed on the public net with pvt address space. Pls use an NAT(Network Address Translator) otherwise.

What if some one intentionally gives the same static IP address to his node,
as the main server in a LAN environment. Which station(s) will stop
working??

It seems like an easy way to nuisance. Any known techniques or guidelines to
prevent this.
