sorry for the last mail...

I am using a  (ATA) Quantum LM Plus Hard drive(30GB)
in my system and it is configured as a slave.
It is manufactured so as to use both UDMA and also the
PIO methods for data transfer.
Is there anyway that I can know which method it is
using? or how can I configure this device to use only
UDMA method!!

Help!!!!
I am running Redhat 6.2 on this machine.
