Not Quite [WAS] Re: Very scary!

Greetings,

On Wed, 20 Dec 2000 at 13:42, Prabhu Ramachandran <prabhu@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> chittered thus:

-> If any of you cares about security you had better read this:
->
->    http://securityportal.com/cover/coverstory20001218.html

	This was discussed 3 days back on the misc@xxxxxxxxxxx mailing list.
	In specific, see:

		http://www.geocrawler.com/lists/4/OpenBSD/256/100/4854336/
		http://www.geocrawler.com/lists/4/OpenBSD/256/125/4853030/

	The dsniff FAQ referred to in Dug Song's post, the second link, is at http://www.monkey.org/~dugsong/ and the URL mentioned in his post.

		and of course, Markus Friedl's post (one of the OpenSSH devels) at,
		http://www.geocrawler.com/lists/4/OpenBSD/256/125/4852305/
		and,
		[...]/150/4852240/

		In short, its a media hype, and you can't fight clueless users/admins using a tool like ssh and then shove the blame onto ssh. OpenBSD rules, when it comes to security! :>
