Non-free, but worth every cent that you pay for it. I purchased the hardcover
edition of APUE for about $105 (about Rs.3000). I also bought the lowpriced
student edition (which is identical, except that it's a paper back) when I was
in India for about Rs.250.

You can get the code from the book for free from Stevens' website at
www.kohala.com/start/.
