gee thanks for this but all this has been done. default is runlevel 5,
i remember Xconfigurator asking if it needed to startx for loging on
(in the last part of its test). i just want that part. i couldnt get
the Xconfigurator's final test to work, so i skip test, => no graphical
login :)

printtool, mknod, nothing works! i wanted to know what 'detectes' the
printer. the detection screen in printtool says 'not detected'. is it
because of the printer? i.e., the make ? (MSP345 of TVSE)
