hi,
	First, let us know how exactly you tried connecting to the
net.  Are you using kppp or direct chat or what?  this will usually
help the folks trying to debug your errors.  Where are you connencting
to?  what is at the ISP end? are they using PAP/CHAP or what?  Only if
adequate data is given can we come up with reasonable solutions.
