  Bad memory but I _do_ remember someone with pcmcia problems etc...and
just to re-iterate, quoting this e-mail ,.. upgrade your kernel to 2.2.13
 , the latest stable version ... and then retry configuring pcmcia support
et al. It might not mess up your X server etc. and if it still does , you
need to write to Kenneth Harker <kharker@xxxxxxxxxx> and crib.
  In case you need more info/advice , try Don Galloway <below> ... do
_NOT_ write back to me because i do not posses weird funky hardware that
older versions of the kernel etc dont support :)

PS : If someone's experiencing giasmda problems , like mail bouncing ,
unable to retrieve/send/receive mails , connecting on port 25 to the
server etc...could you please mail the list/me about what problems you're
having? _MY_ login is freaking out and I got auto kicked out of ~ 4
mailing lists because too many mails to me bounced....and I noticed I
couldnt send out a few emails ...or telnet into giasmda...or receive a few
mails as well ... and so on. If you _do_ you use giasmda and if it _does_
work fine for you , dont bother to mail back saying "it works fine" , ...

i have the 3com 16-Bit PC Card
ita a 10/100 model #3C574-TX
i used it on both a 10 and a 100
base networks.

im running 2.2.13 now 
i belive i needed 2.2.12 
for the updated card support
