Need Dbase Like dbms for linux

Hi,

Is there any dbase like dbms available under gnu.
I installed linux (  Slackware ) for a higher schooll in Uttiramerur.
As the Syllabus covers dbase , they really need dbase like dbms for
their Practicle Studies.

Machine info

486 100MHZ, Running Slackware By Nic
16 Mb Ram, 1 gb hdd.etc

and 4 Dummy vt100 Terminals.
