Not entirely true. Yes, the Netscape executable most of us run
is statically compiled against Motif, but *2 minutes* is way too long,
unless you are doing this on a 386-16MHz ;). On this box, a P-166MMX
with 64 megs core, running Debian 2.1 with kernel 2.2.7, Netscape takes
about 8-10 s. to start the first time, and about 6-7 s. thereafter.
Don't want to stick my neck out, but could this be a resolver
problem ? It seems to be symptomatic of RH 6.0.
